It’s been a year since I wrote about how Turing 50 Is An Eye Opening Experience. Although I think I’m aging gracefully, it seems that every time I turn around there’s a new thing going down hill.

Breaking Down Under the Weight of Age

Aging happens and you can’t do a damn thing about it. Since last year I have a new list of ailments:

  • I’ve acquired Osteoarthritis (OA) in my knee caps. I have the pamphlet on gel injections for the pain. I think I’ll will try it. To learn more check out www.euflexxa.com.
  • Last year I had a bone spur at the base of the left big toe removed and the pain is still there 9 months later. The spur is gone but doctors can’t cure arthritis.  BUMMER!!
  • I’m doing the Miracle Ball Method exercises written by Elaine Petrone. Got mine at Costco but Amazon has it too. It helps with muscle stiffness. Go get it!
  • I invested in a NutriBullet. I think all of those green smoothies has helped with inflammation. Try it!

I chuckled when my young colleague started her blog and called it Dear 25, now what?.  I plan to keep reading it, it’ll keep me young at heart.

Recently, I ran across this video on my visit over to Wabi Sabi Wife. It brought so much perspective to aging gracefully. I hope you enjoy it as I did.

I’ll turn 52 next month so I guess you can say that I’m making attempts at aging gracefully on an ordinary day in a not so ordinary life.

Have you been reminded of your age lately?
