True Confessions Of A Television Junkie

“When I was your age I knew how to listen to television and learn a few things.” ~ Lewis Nordan

Television Is A Past Time Of Sorts - #MondayMusings

I woke up this morning realizing that I'm a television junkie. I can't say I'm addicted but then when I consider the hours I spend tuning in, I wonder if my time could better spent doing something more constructive. What in the world would that be? The many chores awaiting my attention? Of course not.

I Live For Dramatics

There are those that can't grasp how networks think it's okay to include within their programming scandalous drama that boasts infidelity; police shows that put corruption on a pedestal; and heaven help us (no pun intended), a show that has us clapping for Lucifer. They wonder why there can’t be more educational stuff for the kids? Why is it that family feud walks a fine line between family wholesomeness and bedroom shenanigans? And, what in the world does one get out of such trashy shows like "If Loving You Is Wrong"? Thank you Tyler Perry for affording me this getaway into the land of predictability.

On the flip side, there's the deep shit like "The Blacklist" where if I'm ever in trouble, somebody please call Reddington!

Don't Judge

After a full day's work, I’ll sit down for another round of entertainment in front of my carefully hung flat screen and enjoy my eventing. I have arrived and I deserve every minute basking in the land of make believe mixed with some dicey reality.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Fran
