It’s Throwback Thursday ya’ll!!!! I’m a huge fan of old school R&B. It’s simple. Back then, songs told it like it is. Anything you’re going through; any situation you find yourself in; or if you wanted to get a point across you could put the needle to it and lose yourself. So what I do on the regular is reach waaay back and find me one, throw the title down and WHOOP, There It Is (Tag Team). See what I mean?
Who couldn’t use a little respect in everyday life. Apparently Otis Redding and Aretha Franklin thought it was appropriate to record a song about it. Definitely a classic hit that tells it like it is. R-E-S-P-E-C-T, Just a Little Bit. That’s all!
Throwback Thursday Hit of the Week!
Little known throwback fact: “Respect” is a song written and originally released by Stax recording artist Otis Redding in 1965. The song became a 1967 hit and signature song for R&B singer Aretha Franklin. ~Wikipedia
